We had a very nice holiday...with family and friends for the last five days....as you can see, David was very happy walking down the steps as I took pictures....he would not let me take one step at a time...LOL...then intently reading the note Santa left him...he loved all the gifts and had a great time...Happy Birthday Jesus...

Friday we had my father & Betty (feeling very ill), Lou & Gail with kids, Jim & Kate, Tim, Dan, & us for a feast...it was great fresh shrimp and stuffed crabs along with Dave's meatballs and sausage..and of course plenty of cakes from The Hornberger's Bakery...

This Christmas Eve Mare, Aunt Helen, and Dan came over for dinner...we had turkey, ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, salad, rolls...hmm...butterscotch banana cake and fun...DJ opened a lot of kool gifts from Aunt Mare and Uncle Dan..he got some Indian Jones toys and night vision goggles...he also got some army toys including a tank and figurines..Uncle Dan got him a Marines version of monopoly....we had a great time....Santa came and above is a picture of the tree post Santa and DJ sleeping....Merry Christmas

December

Well, December was and still is a busy month...finished my Stats class and got an "A", work semester finished and between writing evals and having actual appointments as well as faculty development day, it was crazy...got our tree up as well as the decorations...had five hockey games...even played at the Spectrum for one of the games..and of course getting shopping done...ha ha ...we have yet to visit Santa (well we did see him at the Spectrum)and I am hoping to get my cookies and cards finished today...for I have family coming on Wednesday and Friday and then friends staying with us from Friday to whenever???? So yeah Mich...I have not written lately oh yeah forgot...I have also been running around getting my credentialing for Lehigh Valley done....and I finished the PTO tax return and gave out presents to the classrooms for rainy days....but with all this busyness, I am having fun and that is important....started reading the Gold Coast by Nelson DeMille for our local book club (thanks for the TV shows going on hiatus)...DJ is finished school now till Jan 5 as am I ...we all are off till then..OMG we are going to kill each other....well I posted some pictures...till later

Thanksgiving

Well, did everyone have a good Thanksgiving? I know I did. I got up and vegged for a bit...DJ was sick with a fever and congestion on Wednesday, so I did not know if he was going to make it for the gathering...He was running fevers of 101- 102.6, so I let him go and as usual he fought it off with no medication, but he has a new friend...saline nose drops...LOL..but he did feel much better on Thursday...anyway...we went to my brother in law and future sister in law's house, Jon and Sue. It was a great family reunion...Most of Dave's family was there, even Mike was back...it was nice to see everyone and meet some new future family (Sue's family)...I then left and went to the Eagles game with Dan...they crushed Arizona 48-20....

Friday was more running around. I got a new per diem job as a nurse practitioner and had to go to an HR briefing in Allentown. They talked about benefits, had paper work to do and got my photo for my ID done....now I start hospital orientation on Dec. 1

Then went, gathered the boys and went to NJ to see my mom, aunt Helen, and Mare for lunch...then drove to Oxford to drop DJ at my mother in laws for the weekend..he is then going to hang out with his uncle Dan and Shannon (who he states is hot...LOL)...so today I am trying to get some order to this house...HA HA HA

Another weekend

Well I am not sure that this weekend could get any better than last weekend. I have a baby shower to go to today and then a hockey game this evening....tomorrow I am meeting up with Jacqui and going to Dan's play....I am looking forward to each event this weekend, seeing old friends, getting rid of some frustration, and relaxing...oh and I have to do homework for stats class Monday....also some great news is that I got a per diem job as a nurse practitioner at an occupational medicine office in Allentown...I have my physical on Monday and then my hospital orientation on Dec 1...I am excited....keeping busy....

Awesome Weekend

Had a great time this past weekend..went to the Papa Roach, Seether, & Staind concert Friday night with Dave..we had an awesome time..then Saturday my Dad invited me to my cousin's house for a private party with Eddie and the Starlites...a doo wop group (see pictures above)...then my brother Dan is in a play in Bucks county's Town & Country Player's Theater...Saddle up for Murder...so I got to see the second half...he has been doing improv for a while now and a women by the name of Katrina Weidman...who is a cast member of Paranormal State on A & E ( http://www.aetv.com/paranormal-state/ps-meet-the-team.jsp ) "discovered" Dan and asked him to try out for this play...he did and got the lead role...the lead female role...it is a very funny , very 'bad' western play...I only got to see the second half since I was at my Dad's for a while..It is playing this weekend on Friday, Sat, & a matinee on Sunday (I am going Sunday to see the whole thing)..here is the link http://www.townandcountryplayers.org/ . Then I went to my friend...Jacqui...and stayed over and then got up with her and her husband, Ed...went to a spin class and then to acupuncture for my headaches and back...I feel great today....then it was off to my in laws to pick up DJ....Just a great weekend.........

Okay, so I need to stay on top...I fell to the bottom...well things have been busy...I did better then I thought on my GRE's...I got a 4/6 on my writing...I seriously thought that I did real bad on that section...like a 2 or 3...so I did get an e-mail from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee stating that they received all my stuff and that they are meeting on November 19th to review files and I should get a letter soon after that...Other things going on...talk about small worlds...I meet my friend Michelle in 1994 playing ice hockey and we became good friends...we were in each other's weddings and we have been defensive partners on the ice for a long time...so anyway I was on Facebook and Michelle finally joined..and I found out that a women who I went to nursing school was friends with Michelle in high school...hmmmm...too small...enough for now....

Boy am I glad that the vote is over...no more campaign ads!!! Anyway, I decided to blog to stay on top of Michelle's blog list...LOL...Had a great weekend with two games...won Sunday's game 6-0...got crosschecked into the boards and hit my head, but I am fine...had a headache most of the day yesterday, but much better today...I did not score for them this time....joined a book club..going to read Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson and David Relin...DJ had cub scouts tonight for which I am an assistant den leader...Dave helped out doing an achievement related to electricity...

Okay, so here it is finally, a new blog...Halloween weekend, DJ and I had a great time. Dave is in Seattle for the Eagles and DJ and I went out trick or treating at my mother in laws. DJ stay there Friday night so I could have some time to get some house work done..ha ha..but I also had an ice hockey game last night...we tied no thanks to me..I deflected a goal into our net...anyway...Stats is going well..I got a 100 on my midterm...I did my GRE's blahh...and got my PhD application in on time...now I am trying to catch up on the life I left behind to do all those things...I am looking forward to a great November..which starts my favorite time of year....

Update

Well friends...a lot has been going on in my life...David's school started on August 25th...he likes his teacher, but well for school...he'd rather be playing...I started school again as well, work started on August 25th...meet a new class of 150 nursing students...my stats course started on Sept. 2nd @ Kutztown...it seems like it will be a good course and the instructor is a character......see I need it to get into a PhD program....which I am in the mist of applying for..University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee...an online program...I also need to take my GREs again....YUCK...which I am doing in October..as far as my running career, I have postponed the PDR...I hurt my back and do not feel strong enough to run it...so I will wait...Finally I am getting ready to tryout for an ice hockey team out of Aston, PA...the Flames...along with my friends Mich, Denise and Pam....hopefully more people will come out..so we shall see...well...I am off...

Day 2

Today was uneventful....getting ready for back to school..David finally got his awards from last week...he was in the local novice swim meet last Thursday and took 1st place in his heat for the 25m freestyle, 11th overall and came in 1st place overall for the 25m breast....he was sooooo excited, as was I of course...his cousins were there to see both races...he also did the 25m backstroke and came in 15th overall...he wants to try diving...so i think that for this year, he will take swim lessons and he wants to try gymnastics....i guess ice hockey is over with ;(

First Day

Well...I am new to blogging..but figured I would try....just recuperating from a long weekend...ice hockey tournament with my old team..the Grizzlies...it was great..but real sore..took today to relax and then tomorrow need to get back on my training schedule..for those of you who do not know...I am training to do a half marathon. I have always wanted to do this...but time has been tough....I am really being conscientious to make the time....But it has been easy this summer. When school starts in two weeks, I am really going to have to plan better. Well...that is all for now..until tomorrow...
