December 2nd...

Today is Friday December 2nd, started working on my Christmas Journal/Scrapbook...looking forward to a busy season!  My mother in law is still in teh hospital, looking to come home soon I hope!  My father's cellulitis is getting better, but he is a bear when he is ill, and I just fell ill with a cough and sore throat...thought it was strep, but was testing and i am cleared, but I was supposed to go to MD for two hockey games this weekend, but I am not since I am feeling ill..;(......

Mid-November..

I have to agree with my friend, Michelle, I am very thankful for my friends and family.  Yesterday I was ale to hang out with my in laws and my Grizzlies friends.  Over the last 10 months, my life has turned topsy turby, but I have to say that each one of my family and friends has been there for both Dave and I and we are stronger for it!

So it is mid-October already....just went camping with the scouts, zip lining and canopy tour...and now to prepare for another scouting outing to Laurel Caverns!  I had a book party for my neighbor and friend Janet for her new book, Because I Can and we got Angel's hair cut..her first time with us!  Lots more to come...

First Day of Hockey....

Today was my first practice for my new team, the Reading Reign!  I had a very good practice, I felt good on skates and I the practice was ran well by the coach!  In the past I have played right defense, but this year, they have me on the left side.  It is fine, I will adjust! 

So in July, Dave, DJ, Angel, and I spent the day in Carlise at the War Memorial.  It was pretty good...we had a fun family day!

Day 2 of Blogging...

So you got to hear a bit about my travels to Milwaukee.  We were very sad to leave each other, but happy to return to our families.  These pictures are from the last days in Milwaukee.

After Milwaukee, I drove to meet Dave and DJ in Leesburg VA. IMy drive home was a bit more eventful as I spent 3 hours going through Chicago! So I left at like 1230 and it took me 16 hours to drive, so I had to stop and slept at a hotel on the way back. There was not much time difference between going to VA or heading home.


We stayed with my brother and sister in law!  We had a good time, but we were unable to go on the boat.  We spent time at the community pool and shopping of course!  ON the 4th of July, Alice and i found two stray beagles.  They were very cute and friendly.  We kept them over night till we could find their owners.  We found that their owners were not home and they got out of their backyard.  The situation was very grim as we noticed the one dog with a bum leg.  I think we should have done more, but we gave the dogs to the neighbor who agreed to care for them till their owners got home.  We later found out that the teenage son was home when we were ringing the door bell...I really worry about those pups as they were so good!

I'm Back...

So after five months, I have decided to continue my blog. I have missed the blogging and want to share in the joys that I have obtained in the past and will continue into the future. Now I can't go into lots of detail today about what the last five months have been like, so I will start with the month of June! June 2011 began a new chapter in my student life. I traveled to Milwaukee for the entire month. I drove out on June 4th. It took my 13 hours with a few stops for gas and potty breaks. It was a nice drive. I listened to books on tape and the radio..talked to a few people on the phone (with my ear piece) and enjoyed my ride! Once I got to Milwaukee, I settled into my apartment. I was by myself for the first day, but my friend John joined me the very next day. The next few weeks would provide me with some much needed time away from my family to really put my studies into perspective. I SKPYED DJ, Angel, and Dave every night and got to see my dogs, Shula and Joci! I really miss Shula..more about that later...Dave and DJ came out to visit for a long weekend. I did a lot of work and had fun with the other 16 in my group! When it was over, we headed for our annual visit with Ken and Alice! The pictures are from my friends in UWM's 2009 Cohort !

Here are a few of the pictures I took this past Sunday with Angel at my in laws house...she is very tiny for her age, but do not let that fool you!!! Angel and I are getting to know each other...we even got to spend a little alone time..and she meet our neighbors...they had a blast with her too!!!

WOW....just WOW

Today was a day in history...another perfect day for Dave and I...we spent some well needed alone time, it was not very long, but very close! It is amazing how much you find out about a person, even after being together for 20 plus years! P.S. the dogs were jealous!

This is getting easier....

Each day I wake up not knowing what the day will bring...but regardless of the situations going on in our lives, this does not change. But since finding out that I have a step daughter, my life has been a roller coaster, doing flips on an hourly basis...but now things have changed even in the last week, day....I am feeling confident more and more each day that regardless of the end result, I can be Angel's step mom....this may not be taken well by others, but Dave is supportive of me in this role and has helped in so many ways....and I made him blueberry cobbler...

Another great night...

Dave and I had a wonderful evening last night, talked, laughed..and I even got to play ice hockey...it was a blessing that our therapist canceled on us!!! I love you Dave!

Great Day....

This weekend was great despite a few things....but yesterday DJ had his first soccer game and won..2-0..he was nervous about playing in his first game, but he did very well and even had good playing time!!! Then Dave and I went to the Mangan's annual St. Patty's party and had some good food and great company!!! We walked home in the bright moonlight and it was beautiful! Today DJ alter served again and then we had his ice hockey banquet and we won three different raffles..a coffee/tea basket, movie basket, and I got a 31 purse....now we are off to Boy Scouts...

So here it is....

People want to hide behind their facebook page, think that they are in a relationship when the only relationship is a child...a marriage is stronger and always will be...family may tolerate you, but they will never accept you, especially as the other woman...addiction is horrible and lies will continue, but God is stronger and I know it will be beat..in its own time and God will prevail!!!
